Bierol Schafehax
Profilo Birra
The Schafehax is the fifth can in the Tyrolean design can series – a Belgian style wheat beer with coriander seeds, curacao oranges, bitter oranges, Timut peppercorns and ginger. Typically Tyrolean or what?
The particular style of this beer can be recognised not just visually. Light touches of yeast are found in the nose, a bit of pepper, a bit of orange. The reason for using two different types of bitter oranges is that they not only provide a fine aroma, but also contribute to the beer’s bitterness. Indeed, with the Schafehax it’s the fruit rather than the hops that do this. Fruit bitterness 2.0, in a way. All splendidly blended into this refreshing Belgian wheat beer’s spiciness. Not the usual massive hop suspects, rather a graceful yet captivating beer – which would not be Bierol if there weren’t something extra. Extra pep(per) so to say. The round edge for the square circle.
